Welcome to Infant 4

Carnivores, omnivores and herbivores!

We have been very busy in Infant 4 learning all about the features of dialogue. We have been learning how to use inverted commas to show when someone is speaking and we know lots of different words that we can use instead of ‘said’. We are now learning about how to write instructions.  We have had fun following and creating our own instructions about how to make tasty Easter Nests!

In numeracy we are continuing to practise our times tables on a daily basis and we have been looking at practical applications of what we have been learning, such as, reading different types of scales. We have been learning the properties of different regular and irregular 2D shapes and we are beginning to learn about the properties of 3D shapes.

In science, we now know some interesting new facts about animals and their habitats. We know about animals that are classed as carnivores, omnivores and herbivores and we have searched, in our playground, for different micro habitats and the mini-beasts that live there.

Last but not least…we all had a fabulous time celebrating World Book Day this year. Our day was Roald Dahl themed and our fancy dress costumes were amazing!
