Nursery are reading…The Three Little Pigs!

Our nursery children have been enjoying the traditional tale  of  'The Three Little Pigs.' Through this familiar tale, they have been exploring key themes such as perseverance, problem-solving, and the importance of making thoughtful choices. The children have particularly enjoyed discussing the different materials the pigs used to build their houses and predicting what might happen next in the story. Alongside their literacy learning, the story has provided meaningful opportunities to develop early maths skills. The children have been counting the three pigs, comparing the sizes and strengths of the houses, and using language such as bigger, smaller, stronger, and weaker. They have also explored sequencing by retelling the story in the correct order and identifying what happened first, next, and last.
