Reading the World Around Us 🗺️
This week, Year 3 have been thinking about reading beyond books!
In Geography, we explored why we use maps and discovered that maps are another important way of communicating information. We used our reading skills to look carefully at map symbols, labels, directions and the map key, working out what the different features were telling us.
We talked about how we use reading every day to help us understand the world around us — not just when we pick up a book!
Who knew that being a good reader could also help you find your way around the world? 🌍
