Seymour Road hosts…Matt Goodfellow!

Last week, Year 6 had the pleasure of meeting the author Matt Goodfellow. Matt is a poet, who has published many pieces of work, but year 6 particularly enjoyed his recent book ‘The Final Year’. 

On his visit, he encouraged all the children to try poetry in their own voice, including their dialect, slang and own vocabulary (even if it was made up!). 

The children had a fantastic time and left feeling inspired by the new light they had seen poetry in!
