In Reception, we have been reading a story called Tree by Britta Teckentrup. A timeless tale of new beginnings...

Peek through the holes in the tree to find a busy world of nature at work through rain and shine, wind and snow. Each season of the year is brought to life by Britta Teckentrup's beautiful artwork.

Through a hole in the book's cover, an owl invites us inside to meet a majestic tree and all its forest inhabitants during the changing seasons. Through the peekaboo holes on each page a new set of animals are revealed, playing and living in the tree. We looked at baby bears frolicking in the Spring! Bees buzzing around apples in the Summer! Squirrels storing nuts in the Autumn! And the lone owl keeping warm during the Winter chill! Until another year begins...
