The Owl and thee Pussycat

Year 2 have been extremely busy this term learning a brilliant poem called the Owl and the Pussycat by Edward Lear, written in 1870!! We have worked extremely hard on our expression and fluency so we will be ready to perform it at our poetry recital in front of our peers.

The children have shown off their amazing imagination by creating some fabulous actions to help them perform the poem. Very impressive skills!

Piper says: “I really enjoy performing! I love this poem too!”

Damarlo says: “I love performing with actions. It makes the poem come alive!”

Kardo says: “This is a great poem. I love the part with the owl and the pussycat dance by the light of the moon.”
