Year 5 - The Boy in the Tower by Polly Ho Hen

Ade loves living at the top of a tower block. From his window, he feels like he can see the whole world stretching out beneath him. His mum doesn't really like looking outside - but it's going outside that she hates. She prefers to sleep all day inside their tower, where it's safe. Except it isn't any more. Strange plants have started to take over and tower blocks are falling down around them. Now Ade and his mum are trapped and there's no way out . .

Medina - "The book started off a bit slowly, but now that it's picked up I'm really enjoying it!"

Ibrahim - "Houses are falling down mysteriously and our characters are trying to find out why. I love mystery books so reading 'Boy in the Tower' has been exciting."

Lucie - "Mystery books aren't usually my favourite, but with this one, I can't wait to find out what will happen with the houses - I can't predict who might be knocking them down!"
