Bumblebear

According to Norman, there can never be enough honey! And who has the most honey? The bees, of

course! So, dressed up in his very best bee onesie, he thinks he looks quite convincing as he creeps into

Bee School with his eye on their huge honey supply. But how long will his disguise last? And when the

hive is threatened, can he finally discover his true destiny and become. . . The Bumblebear?

Rocco said he liked Norman’s bee onesie!"

Rosalie says, “I liked it because of Norman and the tiny bees.”

Keith says, “I like it because of the big scary bear.”

Brayden commented on how it made him laugh when Norman ate all the honey!

Year 1 have started to produce some excellent work using the book as inspiration this half term! We made

a story map of the story to act out it. The children loved trying to “rowr” like the big bear and pretend to be

Norman dressed as a bee. Over the next week, children will be applying their knowledge of adjectives to

describe Norman the Bumblebear and completing an independent write retelling the story with verbs.
