Author visits Seymour Road!

Last term we were reading a wonderful adventurous book called Wed Wabbit. A gripping story about a young girl that likes to be precise and organised that ends up spending time with her cowardly cousin due to an unfortunate accident that happens to her sister. On a stormy night, the girl and her cousin get hurled into a strange and colourful land of Wimbillies.

We were incredibly fortunate to have the author Lissa Evans of this story come and visit us in school and explain her writing process of all her books especially Wed Wabbit. She told us about her inspiration for the characters and she even read to us a few passages from the book. She was incredibly enthusiastic to answer all of our in depth questions including what gave you the idea of the Wimblies? She told us she drew her inspiration from the Teletubbies. This made us all laugh and mad us all want to read the book Wed Wabbit all over again.
